Though this pastel is still in process, it feels appropriate as Easter approaches.

The rabbit’s a given as celebrated in the U.S., but mythologically Easter rose from the Goddess Ēastre, a spring fertility goddess who is also associated with resurrection.

The blue palm holds the dead bird whose spirit rises as a white bird from which the spiral and open hand emerge.
